As a not-for-profit organization, your support is critical to the success of our Museum. As well, your tax deductible charitable donation to SAMA is an investment in the cultural well-being of this region. Without your support, SAMA would not be able to do what it does. Charitable donations help offset operating expenses across SAMA’s four museums, sustain our Arts-in-Education program, and allow us to continue to offer art exhibitions free of charge to the public.
SAMA receives many gifts in memory of a lost loved one or to honor a family member or friend. Some individuals aged 70 ½ or older elect to roll over a portion of their IRA up to $100,000 as a charitable donation to the Museum. SAMA also receives stocks, bonds, or other securities as gifts to help support the Museum and the donor can avoid capital gains taxes and brokers fees. Paid up whole life insurance policies can be a meaningful gift for which the donor receives a tax deduction equal to the cash value of the life insurance contract. If you are considering a charitable donation of real estate or land, you will want to talk to a tax advisor about the benefits to you and the respective charity.
To make a gift in tribute or remembrance of a loved-one, colleague or noteworthy individual contact SAMA at 814-472-3920 or send a check with a note providing the informational background on the reason for the gift. You can also make your gift on line HERE. SAMA will notify the person of your tribute gift and you will receive a tax receipt letter thanking you for your generosity and thoughtfulness.
SAMA is a qualified 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization and, therefore, we offer the full benefits that the law allows relative to charitable donations. Your generosity truly helps and we appreciate the support we receive from our members and our constituents in this region.
